They said they needed to verify our Apo number. They could Only serve us if we lived within their Apo districts or if we had temporary duty toy orders. Our id cards Are not limited we Are Active duty and Are supposed to be served anywhere in the world i thought. I just could not believe this. I can under stand them having a Small facility and not having enough produce to accommodate All military. I know that the commissary pro Duce is cheaper for some reason than in Germany therefore Many military drive to Holland to Purchase their monthly commis sary produce. This can cause a Strain for the legitimate Holland military Consumers but if you have a leave form i do not Sec Why you should lose this privilege. Futh crore. Why can t the commissary increase its Supply to fill the demand especially when it is seasonal it just goes to show you How much Mili tary family members take their id cards for granted. There Are people who do not even have ration cards. The person at the desk in the commissary stated that now All people who want to use this commissary will be required to obtain ration cards. Some people never buy rationed items and this system seems like just one More hassle. Returning to Germany from Holland we decided to Stop at the facilities in Shinnen Holland. She could simply have answered the phone and taken the person s number and had the Secretary Call her him Back or asked that per son to Call Back later when she thought the Secretary might be Back. But to simply Dis regard the phone shows a Lack of concern for her Job and for the people being serviced by her department.
