This year s game had Turkey written All Over it thanks in Large Mea sure to the . Sports office. Upper Heyford was awarded the right to play at Ramstein instead of earning it. That decision was made after the Ruksc ran put of weeks to Complete its season following a divisional tie. Thus upper Heyford and Chicksands were declared co champions a Compromise that left Chicksands supporters unhappy and upper Heyford s 10-2 season tarnished. The 1985 rams were not exactly a Box office draw. They were humiliated by Pitburg 54-7 in the regular season and most team members wanted no part of a rematch. Hahn s 14-13 postseason upset of Pitburg enabled Ramstein to avoid the Barons in the league championship. Still Hahn would have lifted Ramstein s Crown had the Hawks not missed a 22-Yard held goal in the final three seconds. Having avoided the Bullet twice the rams seemed like anything but two time defending Usa be champions before nov. 24. To Frost things off Winter arrived Early. But not More so than Safe which at least had a playable Field if nothing else at noon. Nov. 24. When Ramstein took the opening kick and marched to an Early touchdown it seemed that Safe was Only showing reruns. It had been six years since two teams of about equal ability had confronted each other in the no vember classic. Equal matchup arrived about As often As the great pumpkin. As the rams feast turned to famine later in the first half it became Clear that what was being served was prime stuff. But they were also Humble. Among cheering  on the Field following the game the rams almost to a Man Sang the praises of their opponents. The sky Kings were subdued but not bitter.
