The association had been campaigning heavily against the proposed Law since its introduction Early this year. The spa faction in the state parliament had proposed a systematic change to the current Hunting Law which would bring a Complete change to Hunting practices and conservation in Bavaria. The proposed rules would have reduced the mini mum Sim of Hunting preserves thus increasing the number of preserve owners. Game Harvest plans would have been made More flexible allowing almost unlimited shooting of wild game in any particular year. Feeding rules were pro posed that would result in less Man provided nourish ment in Winter and elimination of Roe Deer feeding in Mark Swearengen Alpine areas. Wildlife biologists would have been Given a More Active role in decisions to reduce game population. One of the More aggravating provisions would have required the annual luring of wild game into Small pens for Quick and massive elimination of animals. The Overall intent was to achieve a Law that would reduce significantly the abundant wild game re sources in Bavaria. Promoters claimed this would help the condition of the forests in the stale. Most Hunters and leaders of the stale Hunting association objected strenuously contending instead that the proposed Law would result in less responsible game management and far fewer Hunting opportunities.
