This is a Condi Tion that i have in common with hundreds of other soldiers however i can now say that i am a recovering alcoholic. This distinction was added during the months of july and August this year while i participated in the resident treatment facility program at Heidelberg in the 130th station Hospital. For those who arc not aware this is an intensive six week in House treatment pro Gram for soldiers who have problems with alcohol or drug abuse. The program offers individual and group therapy classes in a variety of pertinent areas in the alcohol or drug abusers lives. The Counselor and staff arc kind and dedicated people. The program director and his wife arc available at any time of the Day or night for lending an car or any other assistance hat the residents need. This kind of Devotion to a Job or position is what i think makes that particular ref one step above the rest. I am issuing this Pica to anyone who May read this letter if your life seems to revolve around alcohol or a drug go to your Community counselling Center and talk to a Counselor. That is the main step on the Way to recovery. The people that staff the so offices in the european commands re professionals and they care.
