It was about 11 15. After that Long wait in line i got to the front and ordered two English muffins. You can t have English muffins. It is sunday and we Don t serve  How about an order of Toast is that breakfast too  i bought a cup of Coffee and went Back to my table. My wife asked Why i did t get an Apple pie. I thought that might not be a bad idea so i got Back in line. When it came my turn i ordered an Apple pie. No Apple. Would you like Cherry no just let me have a Sweet Roll. And please warm it  we can t warm up Sweet Rolls. We Don t have any Way to do  i returned to my table and drank my Coffee. The next week i went to the Palton bar Racks snack bar before going to class in the evening. I d like a Small pizza  we Only have Large  can t you trim off some of the dough and make a Large pizza into a Small pizza  i bought a Large pizza and ate half of it. The next week i went to the snack bar at the Heidelberg Hospital. A sign at the begin Ning of the serving line says hot meals until 1400," or words to Fiat effect. It was 1350 when i got there. The serving line was closed Down and All i could have was some son of hamburger or a Chili dog. I asked Why is the serving line closed the worker told me because we close at 4 . And we have to clean up we Don t get paid to clean up after we  this last week a co worker came Back from the Hospital snack bar with an cafes Burger in one of the Little take out boxes. He saved the boxes. I asked Why and he replied that the snack bar did t provide the boxes for hamburgers Only for cafes burgers. I thought that a Ham Burger bought in cafes was an cafes Burger it seems thai the warming boxes Are provided Only when one buys an authentic cafes Burger whether you take it out or cat it in the snack bar. Any other Burger gets wrapped in Saran wrap on a cardboard plate. I m sure that there is logic to that but it escapes me. I know after 22 years Active duty that each of these problems could have been solved had i contacted the food service manager in Heidelberg. In the Case of the Hospital and Patton Barracks it was the local manager who told me these things however the food service manager is not located at the snack bars.
