Being the teacher and playing the Lead he took every Chance to ensure that the students remained in control that the show remained a Stu Dent production. Don t you Tell her that it s a wrong line Shell Tell you Moore told the rest of the cast during an Early rehearsal. Aspiring director and senior Bill Fischer said the class requires students to do a Little role reversal and temporarily become the teachers. It s a question of learning to Deal with the teachers on a different level Fischer said. You have to find the line where you can talk with them direct them and then not have a grudge about it. It Means learning to overcome that natural hesitancy of telling the cast when they be blown a Moore covers those aspects of direct ing in the lecture portion of his class. He said it is just a question of learning to manage people. But Fischer said talking about the techniques in class is a lot different from applying them on the stage floor. He Moore can talk till he s Blue in the face but i have to apply it and that can be touch and go said Fischer who recently directed a pair of one act plays featuring student performers. Aside from the cast being teachers Reardon found her other difficulties were similar to those experienced by any other director. Getting them to learn the Lino is the most important thing. Then they can concentrate on acting she said. To do that she used a technique known As weaning to get them away from a natural dependence on their script books.
