But officials have been teaching the turks about the Cf-104 s special Canadian modifications Dur ing training sessions at cab Baden Soellinger and on delivery flights Adamson said. The Cf-104 inspection Cycle Calls for five weeks of maintenance and repairs after every 200 hours of flight. The canadians Are giving the turks 20 planes that have just been serviced and 24 planes that have used up vary ing amounts of the 200-hour quota Adamson said. The 441 tac fighter so is one of three Canadian fighter squadrons stationed in Europe and one of two that Canada has committed to nato. Adamson said the 439 tac fighter so which arrived in Germany last fall flying Cf-18s, will assume the de activated squad Ron s nato responsibilities. An additional Cf-18 Squadron is scheduled to arrive in june. The 441 Squadron is expected to return to service in june 1987 at cab cold Lake in Alberta flying Cf-18s. In the meantime most of the Squadron s 18 pilots will return to Canada As will some of its 32 maintenance workers. This w 111 resurface As the 441 so but not in Europe and we re pretty disappointed about that. The 441 has been in Europe for 34 years Adamson said. Subsequent retire ment pay would follow the Chi minus one Point formula. Cox was reluctant to endorse either option but when pressed by subcommittee members he said the combination option does the least  on other issues Cox lobbied for a 4 per cent pay raise for fiscal 1987. Military pay raises now lag 8.3 percent behind private sector pay raises As measured by the employment Cost Index he said.
