Iacocca said he has not had second thoughts about his efforts on behalf of the foundation following his firing feb. 12 by Interior Secretary Donald Hodel As head of the statue of Liberty Ellis Island Centennial commission the government advisory Board set up to work on the renovation project. The foundation plans to make the medal presentations an annual event. The names of this year s recipients will be placed on a plaque on Ellis Island.
