It has no bulletin boards artwork or other adornments. Pupils work on material that has been compiled by regular classroom teachers. But they Don t get any credit for it and must make up any work they miss in the irregular class. There is very Little interaction Between myself and the student Hillenbrand said. They Are Given the work and they do  parents Are informed by letter when their children Are sent to the Center. Working parents like it very much principal Frank Calvano said. We keep the children Here. They Don t have to make extra arrangements for care of the  teachers also appreciate the program Hillenbrand said because it removes troublemakers from the classroom and makes another teacher responsible for disciplining them. The program works because it establishes consistent rules for children to follow and immediate consequences for bad behaviour Verney said. It makes children responsible for their own behaviour he said. We re consistent. The rules Are consistently applied As  Many older children relish a break from classroom routine but elementary school children generally like school and want to be in their regular class with their friends Calvano said.
