The department also said it found no evidence that Texas air corp s extensive financial losses last year posed any serious financial problems saying the com Pany Hati adequate resources and its management was found to be fit willing and Able to run an airline. Brock said he had been in Contact with most of the parties involved in the Eastern turmoil but he had no yet developed a game plan on How to ease those ten Sions. Mcartor said that an in depth plane by plane inspection at both Eastern and Continental had not shown anything that would warrant extreme safety concerns. The Faa disclosed that it was proposing a $823,000 Fine against Eastern because of safely violations found in reviews of the Miami based airline last year. During the inspections of Eastern and Continental Faa officials examined each aircraft at Airport Gates to determine if they were following Federal air safety requirement. The separate probe of the Parent company focused on possible management and financial concerns. Dot investigators wanted to determine if the executives of the Houston based holding company Are fit willing and Able to operate an airline according to Federal aviation Laws.
