The reference to appropriation was apparently the first time possible con Gressional involvement was confirmed in court papers. James Kane the president of Kane paper is the founder of the Long Island aerospace political action committee. The Uniss employee named was Dennis Mitchell whose office also has been searched and the private Consul Tant was Charles Gardner a former uni sys employee. According to published reports rep. Roy Dyson d-md., toured the Unis splant in great neck n.y., and Mitchell handed him several Campaign contributions. Those checks and several others mailed later totalled $14,000 and wherefrom businessmen and others interested in seeing increased military spending on Long Island the news reports said. Dyson a House armed services com Mittee member was on a trip to see uni sys this year when his top aide Tom Pappas committed suicide by hurling himself from a Manhattan hotel a Day after a Washington Post Story said Pap Pas made unusual work demands on members of Dyson s staff.
