High combat veterans were More Likely to be heavy smokers and drinkers and have a More difficult time reducing consumption. High combat veterans were twice As Likely to take Ranqui Lizars or sleeping pills but illicit drug use was found to be very Low. The Post traumatic stress disorder rate varied from 1.8 to 15 percent de pending on the level of combat and the symptoms for some of those interviewed have persisted for As Long As 10 years.
