Thompson whom coach Barry Switzer had sus Pended earlier on monday appeared tuesday for a detention hearing before . Magistrate Robi Cauthron in Oklahoma City. The hearing was continued until wednesday so prosecutors could provide evidence in support of a High bail for Thompson. A preliminary hearing also i scheduled wednesday. The courtroom was crowded with Media friends and spectators As Thompson was escorted in wearing an Orange jail jumpsuit. Officials said Security was tighter than usual for the quarterback s appearance. Thompson s Mother was in the courtroom but she declined to comment to reporters. . Attorney Bill Price said Thompson faces up to 20 years in prison and $ 1 million in fines if he is convicted. Price said Thompson s arrest culminated a six month investigation. Thompson allegedly sold 17 Grams of co Caine to an Fri agent for $ 1,400 on Jan. 26. Price would t say if any other people were involved in the investigation. But Norman police it.
