The 250cc race was stopped on the second Lap after the riders crash before the Entrance to the Sachs curve. Palazzese apparently lost control of his april a Cycle at High Speed touched another Bike and triggered the Lerman up motorcycles crash. The riders were in an extremely close formation when the Accident occurred. The 250cc race was restarted 90 minutes after the Accident and it was won by defending world champions to Pons of Spain on a Honda. Pans also leads big for this year s 250cc title. The top class Soock race meanwhile provided showcase for american Riding brilliance with three time world Champion Lawson Rainey and pole Winner Kevin Schwantz of Texas Suzuki running nose to Tail until Schwantz dropped put with mechanical problems with Only four laps remaining. This left Lawson Riding for rothmans Honda in charge but Rainey held on and powered through four laps later to take the Lead and the Flag. Eddie was blocked momentarily by a slower rider Rainey said after the race and i look advantage of it. It was unfortunate for him but that s racing and this was a hard  a disappointed Lawson said Wayne had a terrific race. That s All i can say. We were close All the Way and he won  the Victory pushed Rainey further ahead in his quest for the Soock world championship he now has 91 Points to Lawson s 78.placing third in the Soock event was newcomer Michael Doohan of Australia Lawson s Honda team mate. Like Rainey it was Doohan s first appearance Here. Fourth was i Cofrancesco Chili of Italy Honda while Christian Saron of France Yamaha came across in fifth  rider Freddie Spencer returning to action after two years of retirement finished ninth on his  winning the 80-mile grand prix Rainey who rides for Roberts Yamaha covered the 19 laps in 39minutes, 14.75 seconds at an average Speed of 122.26 Miles per  125cc division was won by Alfonso Criville of Spain on a Cobas. American rider Allan Scott could manage Only 21st with a Down on Power  seventh round in the world championship the austrian grand prix at Salzburg will be held next sunday. Frankfurt rips Nurnberg 15-3 Frankfurt Frankfurt s John Brudvig fanned ii and scan Calder smacked a three run Homer to Lead the giants to a 15-3 she lacking of the Nurnberg pirates in German american baseball league action Here sunday. Mannheim 13, Augsburg 1 Mannheim West Germany Rich Ard Jackson slapped a pair of Home runs and Glen Murray struck out nine As the division leading Mannheim Amigos pounded the Augsburg athletics in at Wood memorial stadium Here sunday. Mannheim hit Augsburg starter Chris Palmer for eight hits and nine runs in 3 / innings. Dean Mcbride came in to relieve Palmer in what turned but to be a mop up Job. Germany wins cup Dusseldorf West Germany a Boris Becker led West Ger Many to a 2-1 Victory Over Argentina on sunday in the $900,000 world team cup Tennis tournament. Becker gave West Germany the Lead after defeating Guillermo Pyrcz Roldan 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 in the singles  Martin Jaity rallied to beat West Germany s Carl Uwe St cab 6 4,6-3 in the second singles match. Becker and Eric Mclen clinched the Victory for the West germans by defeating Javier Frana and Gustavo Luza uss 6-4, 7-5 in the doubles. Becker began with flawless play in his singles match breezing through the first set. But i knew that i could t hold on to that for the whole match Becker said. Pyrcz Roldan easily took the second set 6-2. But Becker recovered his stride and clinched the Victory with an other 6-2 win after one hour and s3 minutes. The West German team won $320,000 for the Victory
