Penn state coming off its first losing season in 50 years managed Only a pair of second half Field goals by Ray Tarasi. The Kittany Lions needed touchdown and 2-Point conversion when they began their final drive on their own 20. But Penn state stalled at the Virginia 23 on a fourth Down incomplete pass with 26 seconds left. The drive was kept alive by a personal foul penalty against the Bruins while Tennessee was punting from its own 37-Yard line. The infraction gave the vols a first Down at the Urcla 48 and Webb then gained 21 Yards for the drive s big play. The vols scored on each of their three possessions in the third Quarter. Mcodis Flowers added two touchdowns for the com huskers 1-0, who were lied 17-17 at half Lime and scored on their first four possessions of the second half.
