This approach to win life preservation is the foundation of an Active game feeding program in Germany. German forestry authorities and private Hunting rights holders buy Large amounts of feed every year to help the wild game survive the Winter. Feeding also reduces damage done by foraging animals that strip bar from Trees during times of extreme hunger. Americans share the feeding Effort. Every Winter tons of feed Are provided by american Hunters and Rod and gun clubs throughout Germany to help maintain a healthy game population. The Wiesbaden or Bonheim american Hunters recently distributed 9,000 pounds of Winter feed to the Chaus Schaus forestry office and numerous private Hunting areas. Dom Aita spokesman for the Ameri can Hunters said All members of the group donated funds to support the feeding program. Colonel Keith Poch commander of the i St combat communications unit supported the Effort by provid ing transportation and allowing Don Hinds Rai milk cars and Cliff Broadworth help distribute the feed.
