Basketball swings Back in action with 13 boys and girls games Friday night and a full slate on saturday. Nine wrestling matches also Are on the Agenda sat urday. The Dodds med schools Don t begin their wrestling campaigns until later in the month. Regular season Competition continues through feb. 3 on the wrestling Mats and feb. 10 on the basketball courts for the Germany Bennor and Italy teams. The Italy grappling finals Are feb. 9-10 at Vicenza and regional wrestling tournaments for those other teams Are scheduled feb. 10 at Wiesbaden Giessen Ramstein and Patch. The Central european finals take place feb. 16-17 at Heidelberg. All the aaa and a basketball teams will meet in a single elimination big schools tournament feb. 14-17 at Mannheim. The Small school tournament is scheduled feb. 22-24 at a site still to be determined. Competing teams will be determined the previous week at two regional. Shape will be the site of the Northern regional for teams from the bin nor and a North schools. The a Central and a South teams will com Pete in the Southern regional at a still undetermined site. Boys and girls teams from each regional will Advance to the Small schools tourney. Frankfurt and Heidelberg won the big schools boys and girls titles respectively last year Heidel Berg posting a perfect Campaign. The Small schools tournament was Bennor dominated with shape Bovo winning after two straight second place finishes behind undefeated Giessen. Accent took the girls title. Italy stages Small schools and big schools Basket Ball tournaments too. Livorno overseas of Rome Brindisi Simonella and Comiso compete in the Small schools meet. Aviano Milan Vicenza notre Dame Mary mount and Naples have been assigned to the big schools Field. Both tournaments Are schedule for feb. 15-17. Aviano s boys posted a perfect Campaign again to win the big schools title. The Vicenza girls also prevailed on the big schools level. Milan won both Small schools crowns. Ben Abrams Aviano takes the longest winning Streak 32 games into the 1990basketball Campaign. Italy begins its Competition Friday but the saints Don t see action until next week when they entertain  owns the Sec Ond longest boys win Ning Streak in Dodds. Cox the leading scorer for Slippery Rock won Western Pennsylvania interscholastic soccer Confer ence first team recognition and also won the Penn Sylvania state athletic conference scholar Al Lyle award. Cox competed in four sports at Patch football Tennis wrestling and soccer. Soccer was his strongest sport and he made the Slippery Rock varsity As freshman.
