It has t. I am unable to get a Good i night s sleep. I married when i was 32 and have slept alone in a double bed my entire life. Since i am quite tall i Lake up the whole bed. Now i can t gel comfortable even in a Queen size bed with my husband. The limes we be slept in a King size bed in a hotel weren t any better. My husband docs not snore thrash around have icy feel hog the covers or feel like a Furnace. I can t com Plain to him since his Only crime is that he s there. Sometimes he likes to cuddle in the Middle of the night. I realize that most women would love it but believe it or not. I can t sleep if he s breathing on me. When i travel for business or if my husband is away on a Job related trip. I sleep like the proverbial log until the alarm goes off. Lately my dreams All seem to be about gelling trapped in a tight place and i Wake up exhausted. I must be getting More rest than i think i do. Or 1 would be dead of now. I love my husband and we have a great marriage. I Don t want separate Beds. Drugs arc out of the ques Tion. Do you have any suggestions weary in Washington dear weary there s an easy solution you need another bed for your husband either twin or double smack up against your double bed. This set up will provide easy Access and at the same Lime you will have All the space your heart desires. Dear Ann Landers i am a 77-year-old woman who has read your column for More than 30 years. Please help me make the right decision. My sister who is 79. Is having both physical and emotional problems for the first time in her life. Rita lives in another state and has two grown Daugh ters who have been caring for her since she came Home from the Hospital. They both work and say they arc exhausted. Rita needs around the clock care and can not be left alone. My daughter heard about her aunt from Rita s exhausted daughters and has told me that it is my duly to take her into my Small Home and care for her. She said i should do it because she is my sister. Ann i love my sister dearly and always have but i m afraid it would kill me to try to care for her at my age. My life has not been easy. I be had plenty of grief for reasons i won t go into Here. I have never been Nappier than in the last couple of years. Although i live on a limited income i manage to have lunch with these Nioras at the Center almost every Day. I have a Lovely social life which i be never had before. My daughter says i am being selfish and thinking Only of myself. 1 was so Upsel after our conversation that i left her House in tears. Ann. Please Tell me if my daughter is right. I am feeling terribly sad and guilty right now and Don t know what to do. I am an american dependent living in Berlin and attend Berlin american High school. I and Many of my classmates have been to the Berlin Wall several times. The Wall is never a stale topic in our class discussions. We have seen the tearing Down of communism and the Berlin Wall firsthand since nov. 9. We love to recall our memories the pieces of the Wall we have chipped off and the new East German friends we have made. Yet according to the article the students at Berlin american High school arc at least third in experience when it comes to the Berlin Wall topped by West German schools  and  the article students know about the Wall first hand was a True and interesting article and i enjoyed Reading what the students from the West think about the Wall. However i Don t believe for a second that they Are entitled to say they know firsthand what the Wall is like. To come up one weekend out of the year and Sec the Berlin Wall docs not make one worthy of having firsthand knowledge of the Berlin Wall. I am american but i also consider myself a Berliner. As president Kennedy said upon his arrival into Berlin Ich bin Ein Berliner i am a Berliner. Every american living in Berlin can say the same. We. Living in Berlin know about the Wall firsthand. It is a con Stant reminder whenever we wish to leave the City by a chosen route known As the  we live the Berlin Wall every second of Pur lives and Pride our selves on being american bar liners i respect the views of the students from Kaiser slam turn and  but when the subject of the Berlin Wall arises to leave out the student views from Berlin american High school is degrading to us and our Pride suffers and we lose respect. I listen to the various local news updates on an. 1 like these programs very much because there is always an inter View or two where the focus is on military service personnel and what they Are doing. Very often i note that the men and women being interviewed do not express themselves very Well. During the radio interview these men and women arc in what we toastmasters refer to As inc Impromptu speaking situation no real preparation just answer the question or comment on the Issue. In Many instances those being interviewed feel very uncomfortable with the microphone stuck in their faces. There is a very Fine organization that has helped millions of men and women learn to listen think and speak better. The organization is toastmasters inter National with a worldwide membership of More than 150,000. There arc about 500 toastmasters in inc More than 30 clubs in Western Europe. Each club is unique and offers its members numerous opportunities to improve their communications and leadership skills. I have been a toastmaster for More than six years and i have seen Many men and women who had the desire to improve themselves develop into confident and competent Public speakers in less than a year. They know How to control fear when speaking in pub Lic get their butterflies to Fly in formation and think on their feet. All it takes is inc will and a personal commitment to improve one s communication and leadership ability. The toastmasters International program is. In my opinion the finest course in Public speaking that you will find anywhere. West Germany appreciation offered for return of purse on dec. 16,1 left my purse at a Burger King restau rant on a Schweinfurt Cavern. When i noticed the loss almost an hour later 1 had Little Confidence in getting Back my belongings. In my purse was a considerable amount of Cash and Gas Stamps an almost paid off layaway ticket for a High value item my children s bus fares prepaid until March 1990, and most importantly very valuable documents some of them very difficult and costly to obtain. When the manager informed me thai my purse was found 1 fell More Joy than any present could have Given  person who returned All my belongings restored my perspective of Christmas. At a time when commercialism increasingly devalues the True Christmas spirit. Someone brought Joy into my life and gave me the most memorable Christmas so far.
