Tanana 2-1 pitched seven innings and allowed five runs and nine hits to improve to 200-189 lifetime. Mike Hunneman pitched one inning and Urbano Lugo finished striking out the Side in the ninth. Mariners 4, orioles 3 Baltimore a Jeffrey Leonard s sacrifice Fly in the ninth inning gave Seattle its fourth straight Victory. Henry Cotto reached on an infield single to open the ninth against Kevin Hickey 0-2. Cotto stole second went to third on a Long Fly Ball to Center by Alvin Davis and scored on Leonard a Fly to left. Mike Jackson pitched one inning of Relief to win his first decision of the season. Mike schooler pitched the ninth for his third save in As Many Days and fifth of the season. Gullickson 1-1who pitched in Japan the last two seasons beat Baltimore 6-2 on oct. 3, 1987, for the new York Yankees. Pirates 4, padres 3 san Diego a Bob walk gained his first Victory of the season despite allow ing three Home runs As Pittsburgh beat san Diego for its fifth straight Triumph. Jose Lind had two infield singles and walked to figure in Pittsburgh s three scoring innings As the pirates took a 4-0 Lead in the first Lour innings in route to their ninth win in 10 games on their current 13-game Road trip. Dodgers 5, cubs 4 los Angeles a a throwing error by right fielder Andre Dawson in the ninth inning enabled los Angeles to beat Chicago after Ramon Martinez survived a three run Homer by Shawon Dunston. The error by Dawson the third of the game by the cubs who have lost eight of their last nine allowed Alfredo Griffin to score from third base. Griffin whose error on a potential game ending double play grounder opened the door for Dunston a game tying Homer began the winning rally with a double Down the left Field line against reliever Mitch Williams 0-1.
