Mauro Baldi of Italy alternating at the wheel with Jean Luis Schlesser of France drove a Mercedes to Victory completing the 297.6-mile race in 2 hours 17 minutes 11 seconds at an average Speed of 130.530 Mph. Baldi who led from the Start to the finish said he almost ran out of fuel in the final laps.
