Congressional reports accompanying wic legislation have never referred to any congressional intent that the program include or be expanded to include american military families abroad. Three Days before the wedding i said Quot the hell with bought a gown off the rack and made my own Headpiece. I had to get Down on my hands and Knees and beg a seamstress to make five bridesmaids dresses. She charged me double but i had no Choice so i paid her what she asked the morning of the wedding my gown and Headpiece arrived along with the bridesmaids dresses. I refused to accept them. The shop sued me and won their lawyer proved that they had contracted to deliver the merchandise in time for the wedding and that they had lived up to the agreement. Can you believe this my advice to All brides is this when you order your gown Tell the bridal shop that the wedding is 30 Days earlier than it actually is give yourself one full month of breathing space. I got a migraine that lasted four Days. In 1983 a socially prominent family ordered a-$14,000 wedding dress. The Bride had a fitting in february. In june she came in for another fitting a five months pregnant. The wedding was scheduled for August. I had to redesign the gown completely. In. July the Bride had a miscarriage. When i was asked 1o schedule another fitting 1 told the Bride s Mother that i was closing my shop and retiring from the business. I did just that and am now living a much saner and healthier life.
