Rochon had charged in civil lawsuits that he was racially harassed by White agents when he worked in the of big a Chicago office. Another contained a bulls Eye superimposed with a picture of a Black Man. Attorneys for Rochon 40, and the Fri signed an agreement the week of aug. 5 that settled the 3-year-old Legal Battle. The settlement restored Rochon full pay and pension benefits possibly Worth More than $1 million Kairys said. Several members of Congress accused director William sessions in april of tolerating discrimination allegations denied by the director. A Federal judge ruled in september 1988 that the Fri had engaged in widespread discrimination against its hispanic employees. Officials acknowledged earlier this year that the Fri had settled three other racial discrimination suits Philip has a a Tough assignment Quot said one congressional source who spoke on condition of anonymity. Blacks Boycott 3 Florida schools Mills College registration takes a jump Tallahassee Fla. Apr about 1,200 Black students boycotted the first Day of classes at three schools wednesday because a school Board hired a while teacher instead of a Black one. The Jefferson county school Board in an emergency meeting wednesday afternoon voted to hire another Black teacher in addition to the White one. The new teacher would replace one who is expected to take maternity leave this fall. A act leaders planned to meet to decide whether to continue the Boycott in the county a three schools. Superintendent Bill Mccrae said school systems throughout Florida arc having a hard Lime finding qualified Black teachers. A i d love to hire them to solve this problem. But earlier this month one of the Blacks took another Job in Georgia he said about 70 percent of the 2,100 students in the county a elementary Middle and High schools Are Black and most of them stayed out of school wednesday said . Utah killer treated for drug overdose Salt Lake City apr convicted killer Mark Hofmann the forger of mormon historical documents who used bombs to cover his tracks was in critical but stable condition wednesday following a drug overdose officials said. Hofmann 35, serving a life sentence was found unconscious at Utah stale prison shortly after noon and was taken to the University of Utah health sciences Center said Hospital spokeswoman Anne Brillinger.
