By Chuck Vinch Washington Bureau Washington a almost two thirds of female service members experienced some form of sexual harassment in the past year according to a Survey. Almost four out of five female victims reported More than one Type of harassment while More than half reported four or More types of harassment during the period. The Survey issued tuesday was the first of its kind in the military. It was mandated in 1988 by then defense Secretary Frank Carlucci based on a recommendation from the task Force on women in the military. A total of 20,250 people about half males and half females responded to the random mail Survey. The most frequent Type of harassment reported by 25 percent of the women was unwanted touching and situations in which they were bodily  pressure for sexual favors was next on the list reported by 12 percent of the women. That was followed by unwanted looks and gestures experienced by 10 percent of the women. Rapes or assaults were reported by 5 percent of the female victims. Among males 17 percent reported some form of sexual harassment. The most common form was touching and bodily cornering reported by 7 percent of the males. Other forms of harassment reported by men were sexual teasing jokes or gestures 6 percent pressure for sexual favors 2 percent and actual or attempted rape or sexual assault 1 percent.
