Story and photo by Anita coach staff writer Johnny Cash the Ebony Clad Singer whose Mournful tunes and deep baritone voice have been entertaining country music fans for 36 years has released another album bringing the number of songs he has recorded to More than 1,500. Cash says the album titled the mystery of life is a ret urn to the country music style he favored at the beginning of his career. The first is a journal in which he s been recording his thoughts and feelings the second is an autobiographical account of his life As a 12-year-old, picking Cotton in the deep South during the depression and listening to the Folk music of the time on the radio. Cash s previous books include his 1975 autobiography Man in Black which sold More than a million copies and the More recent Man in White about the conversion of the apostle Paul. There Are also some movie projects in the works. Cash who has starred in More than a dozen films said there s discussion about doing remakes of the John Wayne westerns Angel and the bad Man 1947 and the three godfathers 1949 in both cases Cash would play the roles performed by Wayne. V but making movies has always come second to making music in Cash s Fife.
