Stein Frankfurt Germany ugly americans recently a German Friend of mine was astounded to learn that my wife and i who Are americans will not associate with or participate in any american or military sponsored activities. This caused me to re think my attitude toward my fellow americans in Germany. We still came up with the same attitude and stand by our policy. My wife and i spent 30 minutes sitting on a Bench in front of the Hanau Exchange commissary Complex on a recent sunday afternoon. Our attitudes were quickly reaffirmed to us. We observed seven cars operated by american males drive by with the windows Down and music blaring. This forced us to listen to their music and assaulted our peace and quiet. Three children under the age of 5 were a a Wilding on the Bench while their american parents sat in a stupor. One of the Little Darlings even slapped me on the Side of the head i still done to know Why. The following morning As i took the subway to work i shared a car with eight american youths Ages 14-17, who loudly boasted of stealing cd compact discs from the Frankfurt sight and sound Center. Almost every third word that came out of their Mouths is unprintable. Finally the 24 hours of introspection concluded As 1 observed an american take a right turn on a red Light at an intersection. He almost killed two pedestrians and caused an Auto Accident As legally present cars avoided him. I work for the department of defense in a customer service department. My pet Peeve is people who treat customers with disrespect or unconcern. Customers appear at your work centers because they have a valid reason for being there whether to pick up a police report obtain a pay form or request information. If you work within a customer service area remember that this is your Job. Next time you have had a Busy Day and you feel that you Are overworked and underpaid just let reality hit for a moment. In this age of budget restraints and personnel cuts you May not be working at All.
