In the july 8 edition there was a news piece from London Supi Bureau asserting that four out of 10 britons believe that Queen Elizabeth should abdicate and allow Prince Charles to become King of England. This amazing conclusion was based on the findings of the sunday Mirror referring to the a troubled marriage of the Prince of  As a Canadian i should like to humbly advise the stars and stripes that Elizabeth ii is by the Grace of god Queen of the United kingdom Canada Australia new zealand and the head of the Commonwealth. Secondly the Queen is not some sort of functioning president for diplomatic purposes but is Sovereign for life rather than president by election. Indeed it would be a strange constitutional monarchy that could recommend even by a referendum to the parliament that the Queen should resign in order to help Patch up her songs ailing marriage. The question arises a by what Assurance would it be patched up by the Queens abdication assuming the Validity of an ailing marriage finally the Beauty of the monarchy in its relationship to Canada and the other Commonwealth countries is its very permanency. During the troop buildup and the War we watched everything about the Gulf and afterwards everything about the homecomings with no mention of the guard units deployed to Germany. And now that the War is Over supposedly and All the other guard units have left Germany the War has almost been forgotten. And with it so have we a even by our own state government. It was stated that there is a new meaning to the phrase a casualty of  Well in a Here to add another one because my unit and perhaps the 12 guard units still deployed to the persian Gulf is finding out what it feels like to be a missing in action a or even a prisoners of  so contrary to popular belief the War Isnit Over a not for us anyway a because the 112th medical co of the Maine National guard is still in Germany.
