A limping Jim Mcmahon who a supposed to be Back this week is not a reasonable facsimile of Cunningham. 49ers 20-10 Chicago plus 6v2 at new Orleans a replay of an pfc wild card game last january. Falcons 16-10 san Diego minus 6v2 at Seattle the Only consistent thing about the chargers is they find away to lose. The Only consistent thing about Dave Kring is. See Glanville above. Sea Hawks 24-17 last week 5-5-1 spread 7-4 straight up season 47-51-4 spread 64-38 straight up Ramstein favored to beat Rhein main by Mike Bowers staff writer the Ramstein rams should be favored Over the Rhein main rockets in the Continental sports conference championship game on sunday according to team statistics. The Winner will face the United kingdom and defending Safe Champion Lakenheath eagles in the Safe title ame on nov. 3 on the Csc Champion ome Field. The eagles downed the rockets 39-30 in the 1990 Safe title game at Raf Lakenheath last nov. 4. Ramstein coasted to the ?T91 Csc title game with an impressive 10-2 slate. One of those losses was to Rhein main the first week of the season and the other to Pitburg during the third week. After that the rams Are 9-0. Rhein main finished the regular season at 6-4, but showed inconsistency by losing to Small bases Lindsey and sem Bach. In the playoffs however Rhein main advanced to the championship game by beating Lindsey 26-13 and Sembach 24-8. Ramstein thrashed Oesterberg 54-0, before edging Span Dahlem 33-30. Statistics also show Ramstein has the second Best offensive numbers in the conference behind Span Dahlem. A True indicator of their strength is 171 passing Yards per game compared with just 99 Rushing. main 8-4 at Ramstein 10-2 noon sunday. On the other hand Rhein main ranks third in the conference with a seemingly balanced attack. The rockets offence gains 108 Yards on the ground and 123 passing per contest. Defense is the biggest difference Between the teams credentials with Ramstein finishing As the top defensive unit and Rhein main following at a Distant fifth. Opponents gained Only 86 Yards per game Rushing and 81 passing against Ramstein. Rhein Mains Achilles Heel seems to be a pass defense which yields 134 Yards per game. Only Lindsey and Oesterberg were worse during the regular season. A statistics done to concern me a said Terry Maki Rhein Mains head coach. A a it a a diversified league with Good and bad teams. A Ramstein has shown consistency by playing Well against the Good and bad teams. Therefore the impressive statistics. We on the other hand seem to sink to the level of the average teams. We do about the same no matter who we what the three time defending Csc Champion rockets have done Best in the past few years is win playoff games. That a a fact that has Ramstein a coach Larry Boldin worried. A i wish the Csc was set up like the u.k.,? said Boldin. A the team with the Best record is the Champion. Unfortunately we have to earn it in the playoffs. Stats done to mean a thing until we win it All. We be got to beat them where it counts a on the Boldin reflected Back to the 1989 season when his team met the rockets for the Csc title. A your stats were very impressive going into that game. However they blanked us 26-0 on game Ramstein a latest Csc title was in 1985, the year they also won the Safe championship. Since then Rhein main has won three Csc crowns and two Safe championships. Rhein Mains bid for a third straight a Safe a title was foiled by Lakenheath last year. Veterans of those Safe campaigns Are still in rocket uniforms. Boldin said the presence of Vincent Parham Jay Grigson Marty Andres Guy Hunter and Tim Langley is a Factor he Hasni to taken for granted. A those arc the Guys that know How to win a said Boldin. Quot they know what it takes to win a championship and defend it. In a sure a lot of their playoff Success directly relates to that Veteran Core. A these Are the Guys that probably keep the younger players focused on the game at hand by telling them Success is possible even without having top Billing. They probably Tell them to forget about press clippings and Boldin said a lot of people View Rhein Mains sometimes mediocre mid season play As signs of weakness. However he impresses upon his team that this Isnit Ture. A i just think some internal things keeps them from playing championship Caliper football during the whole season a Boldin said. A however the past has shown that when the title is up for grabs they put on their championship Boldin admitted feeling the pressure to win. He said pressure is always on the team that feels the need to prove something. A a we be proven that we can win during the regular season and get to the big game. We Haven to proven that we can win the championship.
