The National weather service posted Winter storm warnings for the mountains of Northern California Idaho Montana Utah Arizona and Wyom ing. Snow also fell in Colorado s Rockies. Rain showers extended from the Central half of the Pacific coast across the great Basin and the Northern Rockies. Rain also fell across the Southern Atlantic states and parts of Texas Oklahoma Missouri Iowa Illinois Wisconsin Michigan Ohio and Tennessee. Rain was heaviest across californians Sierra Foothills and the Sacramento Valley. Rainfall since Friday morning in California included 5.5 inches at Shingletown 4.69 inches at Blue Canyon 4.5 inches at Cazadero 4.1 inches at Redding and 3.73 inches at Hamilton. There was minor flooding near Stockton. Other substantial rain was recorded at fort Worth Texas with 2.10 inches Belleville iii., 1.79 inches and Little Rock ark., 1.32 inches in a six hour period saturday afternoon. In the East record highs were recorded at Buffalo n.y., with 76, and in St. Johnsbury vt., with 73. Temperatures around the nation at midday ranged from 91 degrees at Mcallen Texas to 19 degrees at Cutbank Mont. From wire reports oct. 26 through tuesday widely varied conditions Are forecast for Europe with widespread morning fog lingering most of the Day in places.
