My platoon recently participated in a Field exercise in the Hohenfels training area and we were reliant on the Post dining facilities for Chow. We did t actually arrive until 10 . On a sunday night and the Cooks there had held supper for us. They continued to support us exceptionally Well during our Short time in the area. I even remember walking into the wrong dining facility one evening to pick up rations for the Field site. The dining facility manager did no to have a Bead count for our platoon but was still willing to fix up some hot to rations and Send them out because he had the food.
