Driving a military vehicle on a German autobahn in England South Korea or Italy Arentt the safest places in the world to drive. I have driven a military vehicle through downtown Seoul South Korea several times in heavy traffic and this was no fun. I saw several soldiers in South Korea As Well As in Germany involved in traffic accidents in military vehicles. Some of them were found liable in an Accident due to a minor mistake on his her part. This could result in a loss of one months Basic pay for the Soldier which could Case a serious financial Strain. Nobody is perfect especially a new sol Dier coming into the army driving in some of these foreign countries. We As soldiers Are required to have insurance on All of our pos privately owned vehicles. Why Are we As soldiers ordered to drive government vehicles that we not fully insured i believe that As soft piers we Are put in an unfair financial position when we become liable for accidents that should be covered by insurance.
