Guided Tours of the augustinian monastery Are conducted hourly from 10 . To 2 . During the summer. Martin Luther was a Monk there from 1 505 to 1511 and he is the subject of one of the monastery s exhibits. The monastery was restored after being severely damaged during world War ii. St. Mary s Cathedral is open to the Public every Day and the Church of St. Severus is open monday through Friday. During its 1,250th birthday Celebration Erfurt is holding a Host of concerts lectures exhibits sporting events and festivals.
