The states included in this Region Are Alabama Arkansas Florida Georgia Kentucky Louisiana Mississippi North Carolina South Carolina Tennessee and Virginia. Q Alabama by the associated press president Bush captured the states nine electoral votes while democratic sen. Richard c. Shelby swept to a second term against Little known Republican Richard Sellers on tuesday. Shelby received 67 percent of the vote while Sellers received 33 percent. George Wallace or.
