Arkansas  in the Southeastern conference was held 40 Points below its season average of 104 . Alabama  Overall  Sec entered the game in its worst Funk in six years. The tide had lost at Home to Tennessee Chattanooga 67-57, fell 82-60 at the College of Charleston and was coding off an 32-66 loss to South Carolina in its Sec opener earlier in the week. But this was a different Alabama team playing with the determination and enthusiasm that had been Lack ing All season. Freshman Antonio Mcdyess put the tide ahead to stay on a Short jumper in the Lane with 4 27 to go setting up a wild finish. Caffey made Only 1 of 2 at the line Arkansas re bounded and Al Dillard drove the length of the floor with a Chance to tie or win the game on a 3-Pointer. But he was tied up at the top of the key and fumbled the Ball away As the clock expired. Artie Griffin led Alabama with 14 Points Caffey had 13, Jama Faulkner 12 and Mcdyess 10. Timber wolves 108, celtics 90 Minneapolis Chuck person came off the Bench to score 20 Points As no Minnesota  Williams added 15 Points and 11 assists and Luc Langley 13 Points and 11 rebounds to the Timber wolves win. The Victory marked the first time the heat has started a month  in the team s six year history.
