Battling a 30-foot surf crashing Over the tugboat the rescuers transported the sailors to land two at a time. The sailors trapped for 10 hours were trying to re cover an unmanned fishing vessel when the weather turned sour said a spokesman from the icelandic de sense Force. Before Rescue teams arrived a seventh Sailor died when he was washed overboard monday by the 30-foot surf that swamped the boat Sills said. The Sailor s body was recovered on Shore. The six other sailors were found clinging to a rail at the top of the boat s wheelhouse and were taken to area hospitals Sills said.
