Due to their uncleanliness my family has been forced to Deal with cockroaches that Are now invading the stairwell. Several months prior to their departure complaints were made to the Wiesbaden housing office regarding their lifestyle i.e., leaving numerous food garbage bags unsecured on the exterior of their quarters and Strung along the stairwell for weeks which constantly resulted in unpleasant foul doors. Despite verbal complaints to the housing office no one Ever took the time to investigate the matter to see firsthand that the occupants were utilizing the stairwell As their personal dumping site or to verbally counsel the sponsor regarding housing policy. I was informed by housing personnel that this situation is a command problem. Despite my concern and desire to live in a clean environment i was appalled that the service member was allowed to Clear his command thus leaving his assigned quarters in a deplorable condition. I was informed by housing that the quarters above me Are no longer suitable for any family to occupy at this time. Why Are sponsors in Europe specifically Al owed to make a permanent change of station pcs without being charged or detained so that they can cleanup their mess according to the housing office the . Army cannot make one get a cleaning team in Europe and better yet the government does not want to pay the service member additional temporary living allowances la to remain Here. By developing a fourth mos 95a combat support my we eliminate the need for an my who has to be proficient in Law enforcement and combat support both of which Are full time occupations this Issue has cropped up in the past and was never developed past a Rumor. Military policemen women in this a a new mos would Only be required to do combat support duty and vice versa in the other my mos. Soldiers would have to concentrate Only on their Field of Choice and not have to switch Back and Forth. I believe the air Force has a system similar to this one. Right now with the emphasis on deployment peacekeeping and contingency operations maps Are concentrating mostly on combat support oriented training Law enforcement takes a Back seat. By dividing the branches we Are ensured 100 percent proficiency in both areas. This is not to say that we Are not a professional capable highly trained and a a flexible corps.
