There in t enough time to go to the top of the Arch particularly if Many tourists Are waiting to use the stairs or elevator. But the top offers a magnificent View. A Short distance away is trocar to place the quintessential place to get a postcard Quality picture of the Eiffel Tower. The Tower built for the 1889 world s fair was originally hated by the culture conscious French and almost torn Down but Over the years it has been used As a radio transmitter a Telephone jink to the United states and a television  up place lies Between the buildings of the palais Decaillot which in itself is a great photo Opportunity. From Trocadero place the tour headed to the Eiffel Tower. Some on the tour were disappointed to learn that they would t be Able to go to the top of the Tower. Again Melrose said it was a time problem. Also the throngs of people waiting to use the elevator stretched hundreds of feet. Two energetic people however managed to sprint up the stairs to the Tower s second level where they caught their breath and rushed Back to the Bottom. The tour allowed about an hour in the Eiffel Tower area and that seemed enough to sit and Marvel at the Tower s magnificence. The final Stop of the Day was an optional 30 French franc 1 no hour cruise on the Seine River. On a warm sunny Day Riding on the uncovered top deck seems like a smart move. The cruise passes the Cathedral of notre Dame the louvre and other great photo possibilities. From there the tour Heads out of Paris for the five hour ride Back to the Kaiserslautern area. A Quick dinner Stop in Verdun about 8 . Brings the tour Home about 11 pm., the Pace is frenetic but no one seemed to complain. Lonnie and Gloria Massey from Sembach Germany seemed pleased with the trip. The Price is what makes it so attractive plus the Uso has a Good reputation Lonny Massey said.
