Why is it that every electrical appliance i have purchased in an army and air Force Exchange service outlet in the last six months has been defective is this a Fluke is it my fault do i have such bad Luck that i out of hundreds of people happen to choose the one that a bad i done to think so. In the last six months i have Pur chased three hair dryers two Curling Irons a toaster and three electrical fans. Now i do have to admit that the toaster works Fine but its Only 1 month old so Well see. Granted i took the appliances Quot Back and finally received ones that worked but i feel compelled to make a comment about the Choice of Raks electrical fans that cafes has decided to sell with no other choices available. To put it bluntly these Raks fans Are junk that Are also a safety Hazard. In be had to take Back one that did not work properly from Day one. The fan that i received on Exchange also did not work properly i pulled up the Button to Stop it from oscillating and the Button came off in my hand. My Friend has one that Only worked for two weeks before the no. 2 Button quit altogether. Minor you say i done to think so. The larger sizes the $40 oscillating kind can also be a safety Hazard. The other Day after having turned my fan off while Locking the office door i heard a huge crash. Well guess what my fan decided it wanted to topple off the filing Cabinet it was sitting on and fell apart with the Blade shatter a into seven pieces. And guess Why. The thing is top. Heavy. Very top heavy. We have five of them in our office All the same size the Large ones. One shakes so badly that we never turn it up Over no. 1 Speed because we re afraid its going to topple Over also. Gail Grossmick Wurzburg German honorable intentions on july 15, i wrote a letter to the army and air Force Exchange service commander in regard to a dysfunctional Hitachi Var that was purchased March 23, 1993, at the Frankfurt sight and sound. Within a week i received a written response to my letter apologizing for the delay and including some store coupons.
