Incensed by sentence when i read the paper i tend to get depressed. Then something really terrible happens As in the Susan Smith is one thing for me to get angry about her actions but when i read a sentence such As Smith who is White had claimed a Black Man abducted the Chil Dren it incites rage inside of me. I hate the Media for that very i want Are the facts. I know that in order to solve a problem we have to con front it and exploit it but with statements like the one mentioned above the medicare throwing fuel Ort the fire. I do not want any consultant to play on my emotions or try to influence my judgment. I Hope All of you people Are not being to form your own opinions and do not read. Too much into what the Media Are Selling. Mik Sechler. Spang Dahlum a Germany i feel this writer s articles should Bemore closely watched in the future so that these types of problems can be Eli i would certainly appreciate any response that you can give me to this Assurance that future articles will be closely monitored for these kinds of racial undertones would be appreciated. Tamara j. Brewer Geilen Lorchen Germany a Story offensive ". T f _ i am writing this letter about an a Story regarding the Susan Smith Case. I feel that with today s racial problems this Story should have been examined More was this Story allowed to go out with the very last paragraph of the Story stating Smith Wop is White describe the carjacked As an armed Black Man wearing a knit Cap obviously from the two pictures that were published we can see that Smith is White. Why is the description of the Black Man not included in paragraph 15, in which Smith told authorities that an armed Man jumped into he car Why did this writer feel a Black and White Issue must be raised in the last paragraph obviously this person wanted that thought to stick in the minds of the readers. Why emphasize race in response to the article a look a fort Leavenworth part ii nov. 14i am a sergeant first class who has been in the army ,19v4 years and was always under the impression that there is Only the Shade of Green but realistically speaking we know that is not the Way it works. In Reading the article of the six inmate that Are on death Row it stated that Only one of those on death Row is i would like to know is Why does it always have to be a racial statistic you May As Well have stated that five of the six were minorities. Why could t it just be six service members who were sentenced to death but that is not where it ends. You continue to use race by stating the Black Marine killed a White lieutenant and the Lieuten ant s wife and to top it off it continually states what race the prisoners Are i am a Strong believer that these six men were sentenced As service members and will be executed As service members not by race. It s bad enough that we have to Deal with racism in the civilian does it have to be dealt with in the military we Are All supposed to be family watching and taking care of each other no matter what race one is. Even Many democrats who won did so Only by the narrowest margins. One third of All democratic incumbents receive less than 55 percent of the vote while Only 5 percent of gop incumbents had such slim margins.
