A Ampf amp a amp a i Naples gets a pageants by Marian Hamilton Naples Bureau the Naples Italy playhouse theater group plans to present not one but two Christmas plays this Yule season. Both Are geared toward families the first toward the younger generation and the second toward older family members. The two plays will be performed Back to Back As part of a dinner theater today and dec. 14 and 15. Denise Leach president of the theater group explained Why the group decided to go with both plays. Quot we wanted to do a family oriented performance Quot she said. Quot families Are what Christmas is All about Quot we had a couple of scripts for children As Well As for adult so we decided to do both. We tried to keep costs Down so that families could afford to Angels with paper wings by w. Cordon Mauermann features an All child cast and chronicles the attempts of two Angels to make the children in a school Christmas pageant work together and get along the theme according to cast members lets the world know How All those Christmas pageants at school really get performed. About 20 children from Ages 4 through High schools make up the cast. They have been rehearsing since mid october. The second casing Christmas was written by two local playwrights Navy Petty officer 2nd class Jonathan Kaupanger and Petty officer 3rd class Chris Lopez. The play is set in new York and revolves around a group of actors trying to get into a Christmas show on Broca Way. Kaupanger who admits to being "30ish,&Quot and Lopez 23, have More in common than their writing abilities. The Man was Dietrich Bonhoeffer a German minister and theologian who was imprisoned and later executed by the nazis for his part in plots to kill Adolf _ Hitler. His life and message Are the subject of a one act play a View from the underside the l legacy of Dietrich Bonhoeffer by Al Staggs being staged at several american College campuses this season and throughout 1995. One of the things the play does Well is capture the Rony of Bonhoeffer s pacifism and his role in plots against Hitler.
