It was their fifth straight following an opening Day non con Ference loss to Bremerhaven and i marked the first time Ansbach had beaten Karlsruhe in six games since Ansbac opened up five years ago. Karlsruhe had won four times and the other two game were m ties. Hicks added his third and fourth six pointers on runs of 20 and 13 Yards in the third stanza and Mike Hargis the Hawks leading rusher scored on a one Yard plunge in the final stanza.
