The Victory evened Karlsruhe s season record at 2-2 while Hahn which also was making its conference debut has a win and two losses to Date. The two clubs exchanged Possession several times before Hahn capitalized on a bad snap on a Karlsruhe punt play and got on the scoreboard. The i Hawks took control on the knights four and Walter Weathersby scored his fourth touchdown of the year on the first play from scrimmage. The second Quarter was played in a steady downpour and neither team was Able to move the Ball too successfully. However. Karlsruhe bounced Back with a touchdown in the third Quarter and two More ads in the final session to sew up its Triumph. The first Knight score was set up by Dave Naverette s Fumble recovery on the i Hawks 42. John Hampton skirted end for 30 Yards and quarterback Mike Sherrill then hit Larry Hudgens with a 12-Yard pass for the tally. Foyt was running third behind Al Unser and Rick Mears when he made his pit Stop. Foyt finally took the Lead on Lap 32, just two laps after the race was resumed after a 35-minute rain delay.
