The Victory was the 33rd straight Eclips ing the old Dodds girls Mark of 32 set by Bonn in the late 70 s. Early in the game the bucs looked any thing like a team Bent on setting a record. Baum older failed to score in the first Quarter. Trailing 8-0, Baum older finally got in tracked grabbing a 14-11 halftime Lead. Then it was Brussels turn to take com  brigands outscored the bucs 14 8 in the third period and led 28-23 with 2 30 left in the next 1 30, the Buci showed Why they be established themselves As Winner. Sanjanetta Wilson who led the bucs with 10 Points hit a Basket freshman a Lanthia Welch and Samantha Scott Fol Lowed with free throws to nuke it a one Point game. Then it was Welch again this time driving in on a Layup who accounted for the Fina score there was still about a minute left. Munich s girls should prove a fitting opponent after the Mustangs rolled Over Bonn 46-32. Munich has suffered Only two losses this year both coming at the hands of Baum older earlier this season. Munich captured the Small schools title a year ago at shape  Johnson ignited the Mustangs in prep basketball the first Quarter Friday when she scored nine of there game High is Points. Mark Newton tossed in 26 Points and Jeff Price 12 for the losers who were undefeated prior to the tournament before losing two straight. Vilseck 66, accent 56 the Falcons built a 46-21 halftime Lead and breezed behind Steve Johnson and Tommy Buckley. The pair scored 15 and 11 Points respectively. Stacey Keanaaina grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked seven shots to keep accent off balance. Hank Wendling of accent took scor ing honors with 18 Points. Teammate Dave Dubay scored nine. In Friday s girls Consolation games Patch 44, a Marg 29 Melissa Cleary and Alexis Boukalis combined for 28 Points to Lead the hos school Deary s 16 Points Ted All scorers. Bamberg trailed 21-14 at halftime but was outscored 18-2 in the third  Long topped the Barons with 12 Points. Alice Williams had six. Fulda 34, Vilseck 31 Fulda s Trio of Lawanda love Kim Sampson and Suye Rupp gave Fulda the Victory in a Battle of Falcons. Love scored 11 Points Sampson 10 and Rupp eight to give Fulda a shot at fifth place. The game was tied 14-14 at inter Mission. Kelly Cunningham and Janette Mendes each scored eight Points in a losing cause. The wolves toppled Host Mannheim 52 30 after Nuernberg had beaten Ramstein 60-s6 in Friday s semifinals. They will collide saturday at 7p.m. For the title. Stuttgart advanced to the title game in the Guf Competition for the fifth the the first Suice winning the title in 1981. With a 50-45 Victory Over Wuerzburg. The stallions will be paired against the Winner of Friday s late Heidelberg Mann Heim it Fame. Mannheim which upset Heidelberg in a thursday boys first round game gave we  wolves a run fir their Money for a Quarter and a half. The Victory Over Ramstein came after the eagles of Don bit dissipated an 8 Point Lead in less than three minutes. The eagles appeared to have everything under control when Frank Gotz dribble through the Ramstein defense for an easy Layup and then stole the inbound pass with 2 48 on the , Nuernberg was unable to make its four Corner control game work and Ramstein forced four straight turnovers. It turned them into game tying Points on a rebound Basket by Denny Powns and three straight drive ins by Nathan Stokes. However Ramstein s Jim Bellotte Drew a foul trying to grab the inbound throw after Stokes tying Basket and Rothwell cashed in for a 58-56 Lead. The royals worked the clock Down to 8 seconds but the attempt to re tie the game by Powns missed. Cage grabbed the re bound and was fouled by Jacques Jones and calmly converted for the winning mar Gin. Gotz put on a splendid dribbling performance throughout the game getting five baskets on layups after leaving the Ramstein defenders Flat footed. He wound up with 19 Points and Rothwell followed with 16. Stokes led Ramstein with 19 Points Travis Blue scored 12 and David Ennis added 10. Another highlight of Friday s action came in the Consolation semifinal game when Heidelberg s Bryan Knapp tossed in 39 Points to establish a one game scoring record. The old record was 37 by Mann Heim s James Redwine in 1973. In the girls winners bracket game. Sut Garl so Wuerzburg 45 Wuerzburg was gunning for its second upset in this tourney the wolves stunned Frankfurt in thursday s opening game. And the wolves almost got their second upset they were deadlocked at 45 with 2 47 remaining but Tagen Ferguson broke Thetie with a free throw and Michelle King completed a 12-for-12 Day from the free throw line by converting a pair of one and ones in the final 28 seconds. King led the stallions with 18 Points. Meredith dash added 12 and Deedee Johnson finished with 11. Kirsten Howe led Wuerzburg with 14 Points. In Friday s late boys winners bracket game Wuerzburg 60, Stuttgart 46 the top seeded wolves encountered Little difficulty in avenging their Only loss of the season As they racked up their 15th win.
