Kelly started the generals on their Way to the 21-Point Lead when she accounted for Heidleberg s first four baskets of the second half. Once setae started to Sag off on Kelly the generals went to Mary Edwards and Michelle Shepherd in the front line. Kelly thought the key to both games was Heidelberg s endurance. We re a running team and even though we played one More game than them they seemed More tired. We were Able to get Down the court quicker every time said Kelly. Setae coach Dave Stokes did t think his team was ready. We just weren t ready for one game much less two he said. The players weren t boxing out were Loo far under the Basket for rebounds and could t adjust on defense. We could t just concen trate on Kelly because All of Heidelberg s players can kill you " Shepherd echoed Stokes sentiment. Since i had the hot hand throughout the game they were going to me. Mansell first set the Lap record for the new $12 million Jerez Speedway in Southern Spain in 1 minute 27.176 seconds at 108.237 Mph. Then he passed world Champion Alain Prost s Mclaren tag porsche to Start the last Lap two seconds behind Senna. On the last Lap i saw him coming very quickly said Senna. I knew he had fresh tires and my car was sliding. It was very  out of the last turn Mansell jerked Side ways for a Clear run against Senna. The cars crossed the line Side by Side though Senna said he knew he just had the win. The closest previous margins were in victories by Britain s Peter Gethin in the 1971 italian race and italian Elio de Angelis in Austria in 1982, both also by less than half a car s length. Senna described his third career win As the Only one where i had to really  the race lasted 1 hour 48 minutes 47.735 seconds race an average Speed of 104.073 Mph. Senna started on pole with brazilian rival Nelson Piquet in the other Williams Honda alongside and Mansell and Prost behind. Senna led for the first 39 laps of the 72-Lap event. With fresh tires and right on target for fuel Mansell made the charge which took him within a Yard of making it his third Victory. Prost was third 21.5 seconds Back and the Only other car on the same Lap with Rosberg fourth a Lap Down. The last championship Points went to the Benetton bows of italian Teo Fabi fifth after recovering from an Early pit Stop and aus Trian Gerhard Berger sixth and eight seconds behind after leading Fabi for Many laps. Only two More of the 25 starters were still running at the finish. Arnoux and teammate Jacques Laffite ran sixth and seventh in the Early laps but drive Shaft failures eliminated both Ligers.
