Williams who has been teaching for 17 years had been advised by her physician to take a Day off when she was bothered by stress. Her physician thinks Golf serves this mental health purpose Well the ruling said. The matter went to the panel after school officials received a tip about the Golf Outing. Williams denied going until confronted with her score card. The District sought to have her suspended for 10 Days for unprofessional conduct for abusing the sick leave policy and for denying she had spent the Day playing Golf. We did t feel that going out and playing Golf is adequate medical therapy said George Flanigan the District s director of certificated personnel.
