Seven b-52 Strat fortress bombers four pkg 135 Strat tankers and some 350 people will be at Fairford for exercise mighty Warrior Accord ing to air Force officials. The exercise in part will test the 8th air Force s and Sac s wartime role in supporting european based nato troops. The two week exercise beginning aug. 1 involves the entire 8th air Force according to a 3rd air Force official. He said the b-52 missions will include Dummy bomb drops at ranges in the Netherlands and Belgium but mostly will involve simulated at tacks on targets in Western Europe. The exercise was similar to other b-52 deploy ments in Europe except that the people involved will operate under Field conditions. Twelve other units at As Many bases in the United states also will be involved in the exer Cise.
