Since then her father Donald Kowalski and her Roommate Karen Thompson have battled Over guardianship of Kowalski whose 32nd birthday is monday. Thompson 40, a College professor said she and Kowalski bought a House together in St. Cloud about 60 Miles Northwest of Minneapolis and considered themselves married. But after obtaining guardianship Kowalski barred Thompson from visiting his daughter who is in a Nurs ing Home in the Northern Minnesota town of Hibbing. Thompson has solicited support from advocates of Gay rights and the disabled in her fight to have Kowalski control her own destiny.
