Dear Abby i be been Reading you for years and your advice is always to the Point and most useful. Among other things i be always been impressed with is that you nearly always can come up with the name and address of a National organization to help those who have physical mental or emotional problems. Do you have a list of these organizations that is available to be sent to the Public i do Volunteer work and often wish i could direct someone to a National group often self help that could be of assistance. I get All kinds of problems thrown at me and some times feel saddened that i can t refer people to others with More experience in a particular Field. If you can help it would be wonderful. Betty Geismar Mission Viejo Calif. Dear Betty for your information and the information of others. Dear Abby several organizations publish directories of help organizations. Good Luck dear Abby my Boyfriend and i have been living together for nearly two years. Randy is 25. I am 23. He had Given me a Diamond ring one Carat which 1 recently quit wearing because i was t sure where our relationship was going. Also too Many people kept asking me when we were getting married and i could t handle it. When Randy gave me the ring he said we would be getting married in about a year but i never could get him to set a Date. Abby in order to plan a wedding a Bride needs at least three months notice right Well i never was Able to get Randy to Tell me which month let alone which Day. That s when i quit wearing his ring. Do you blame me i just discovered that the ring was missing. I kept it hidden in the bathroom i asked Randy if he had taken it and he said yes since i was t wearing it he just took it Back. Abby t feel robbed. Not so much in a material Way it s More like an emotional loss. What do you think i need advice. I feel robbed dear robbed i think you and Randy never had a meeting of minds. You became engaged to be married and he became engaged to be engaged. He is clearly not ready for marriage at least not to you so my advice is to quit living together. After you put some distance Between yourselves you la be Able to think More clearly. He should not have taken the ring he should have asked you to return it since you were do longer wearing it. And since the ring was an engagement ring Only in your eyes but not in Bis you should have had the Opportunity to return it. Maybe one Day you and Randy will be ready for marriage. But the time is not now
