Wiesbaden snapped Heidelberg s 35-match string and moved into a three Way share of the title with Frankfurt and the Lions. A Frankfurt protest which could have reversed Heidelberg s dual meet Victory Over the eagles was denied. Another protest in the a South. Was ruled in favor of Augsburg so the apaches finish As sole champions at 4-0. Ansbach. Which lost the protest winds up 3-1. Joining accent. Giessen. Mannheim and Hei Delberg in he Central regional will be  Fulda. International school of Brussels. Bamburg and Ansbach. Frankfurt. Wiesbaden. Pitburg Oscr Holz. Berlin. Shape. Brussels and soc Sterberg will be at the Northern regional which will be a two Day meet Starling at 5 . Friday. Ramstein stages the Western regional which also will include Kaiserslautern. Hanau. Baum older bad or Cugnach Karlsruhe Hahn and Bonn. South Ern regional competitors include Stuttgart Wurzburg. Nairn Borg Munich. Dim Vilseck Augsburg and Home standing Patch. The top four wrestlers in each weight division qualify for the Central european championships at Heidelberg feb. 16-17. That was a great experience Linchan said last week. You get to meet the outstanding wrestlers from All the different countries and you Are con fronted with All different styles and techniques. You want to do Good because you arc representing your country. It was very educational really a great sex  _ ,. Linchan has had to Scott Linchan Carn some different techniques while wrestling Dodds matches. He was used to International rules Dodds uses High school federation rules. I had to make several adjustments to wrestle in the Dodds program because of the slight variation in the rules Linchan said. For instance under the High school rules you get two Points for a take Down under the other rules you get Only one and in Dodds Competition you have to have the Shoul Ders on the mat for two seconds to gel a pin. In real freestyle a pin takes place As soon As the shoulder is on the mat. There Are some other adjustments too but i m learning All the  Linchan brought up in the world of hockey said he did t know anything about wrestling until about four years ago when he walked into a gym in Winni Peg and a match was being staged. It looked exciting and i got very interested in the sport he said. I studied about the game Anc got involved. It was really fun. I like it a lot. Mannheim and Patch girls went into the final week deadlocked at 7-1. The Mannheim and Pitburg boys also were 7-1 going into the Home stretch. The finals standings in aaa and a determine the seeds and pairings for the big schools tournament beginning wednesday at Mannheim s Benja min Franklin sports Arena and Sullivan Barracks gymnasium. All 13 boys and girls teams will be competing in the single elimination tournament. Five girls games will be played at Bov and five boys games will be held at Sullivan wednesday. All remaining games will take place at the sports Arena with the girls title game scheduled for 4 30 . Saturday and the boys to follow at 6 30. Heidelberg and Frankfurt arc defending girls and boys champions  is a different arrangement for the Small schools Competition. Teams from Germany a North and the Bennor compete in the Northern Region lat shape and the a South and a Central teams match skills at Munich. Both regional a arc scheduled for feb. 15-17.the Baum older girls who have completed their league schedule with an 8-0 record and Berlin boys 6-0 going into their last two games at  Lead a North competitors. The bin nor is a Brussels shape affair. Brussels boys hold a one game Edge Over shape and the Brussels and shape girls Are deadlocked for the Lead going into their fact to fact season finale showdowns this weekend. The Bamburg boys and Vilseck girls arc pacing a South. Bad or Cugnach boys and Bonn girls arc set Ting the Pace in a Central  top four teams girls and boys from each tournament qualify for the Small schools tournament scheduled feb. 22-24 at Baum older. Milan won both titles la. Year so a new Champion is  the Spain schools also finish regular sea son Competition this week they have a week off before their tournament at Rota March 22-24. The . And Turkey schools Don t finish their Competition until feb. 24. Their championships Aren t scheduled until March 1-3. For the first time this season players of the week come from the same school   5-5 freshman Point guard takes the girls accolades and Jurmain Avic gels the boys nod. Sparrow was credited with 25 Points four rebounds and six steals in a losing Effort against Heidelberg. She also scored 19 Points hauled Down nine re Bounds and had six assists in a Victory Over Ramstein. Avie recorded 29 Points and eight rebounds As Frankfurt Defeated Heidel Berg and he got 26 Points Jermayn Avie am 15 rebounds in a los ing Effort against Ramstein.
