The company and Union agreed to resume negotiations in the next week said Bernard Delury head of the Federal mediation and conciliation service. The Agency did not say Why talks were resuming. Company officials who had said they would not negotiate until the violence ceased were not immediately available for comment. The decision to resume talks comes As greyhound plans an expansion sunday that will put it at 54 percent of its total pre strike Miles. The company said it is adding 112 round trips and 50 destinations. President Frank Schmieder says greyhound has no plans to add 205,000 unprofitable Miles that constitute 32 percent of greyhounds routes. The decision could leave numerous areas without any intercity bus transportation. Although greyhound spokeswoman Elizabeth Hale said thursday the company would attempt to subcontract some of the routes. Greyhound is the Only nationwide bus company serving about 9,500 pre strike destinations. In about 9,000 of those areas the company provides the Only intercity transportation. The strike began March 2 after greyhound and the Union failed to agree on a contract. Negotiations broke off amid company complaints the Union was doing Little to discourage violence
