This is a highly rare and risky procedure a Jonathan a own Bone marrow must first be neutralized before the donor marrow can be introduced into the boys body in addition to the medical risks the initial requirement of locating a suitable donor is also very expensive. V. V a the family has spent More than $8,000 in a computer search to find a matchup. The search has turned up a suitable donor from Seattle. It is estimated that an additional $15,000 will be needed to pay the donors transportation costs and hospitalization expenses. Jonathan will be treated by the paediatric transplant Center in Minneapolis which has asked that part of the costs be paid upfront.
